This policy explains what data we process when you use our website, why, with whom, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.
Introduction
This policy describes how Bagatelle processes the personal data of visitors to its website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Belgian law of 30 July 2018.
The website is a showcase: there are no customer accounts, no online orders and no online payments.

Data we process
1. Contact form: your name, email address, the subject and content of your message. 2. Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, processed by our host to run and secure the website, and in aggregate form for audience measurement.
We do not collect any payment data or any sensitive data.
Purposes and legal bases
1. Answering your messages: our legitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or pre-contractual steps you request, for example a group order (Art. 6(1)(b)). 2. Website security and abuse prevention (rate limiting, anti-bot filter): our legitimate interest. 3. Anonymous audience measurement: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are visited. The tool we use sets no cookies and cannot identify you.
Recipients and transfers outside the EU
Your data is never sold or shared for marketing. It is processed on our behalf by: 1. Vercel Inc. (United States): website hosting and Vercel Analytics audience measurement. 2. Resend (United States): delivery of contact form messages. 3. Google (Gmail): receiving and storing messages in our mailbox. 4. Google Firebase: storage of the menu shown on the website (no visitor data). 5. Google Maps: only if you click "Show map". Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
Transfers to the United States are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and for at most 12 months. Our host's technical logs are kept for a few weeks at most. Audience statistics are aggregated and anonymous.
Cookies and local storage
The website uses no advertising cookies and no analytics trackers. It only uses: 1. The NEXT_LOCALE cookie, which remembers your language (12 months). 2. A setting saved in your browser (local storage) that remembers the light or dark theme.
These are strictly necessary for the service you request and therefore do not require your consent. Google Maps is only loaded after you click.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to access, rectify or erase your data, restrict its processing, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and request data portability.
